About Us

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) at RIT, alongside the presence of a Muslim Student Life Chaplain, plays a vital role in assisting Muslim students on campus with services that include weekly Jumu'ah Salah and on-campus events that bring Islamic awareness to Muslim students and non-muslims alike. Our purpose is to serve the Muslim community (students, faculty, and staff) on and off campus by promoting faith, service, and education.

Every year the MSA hosts several major events on campus and co-sponsors other events on campus with other RIT affiliated organizations. Through the office of the Muslim Chaplain, the MSA is an active organization within Spirituality and Religious Life (SRL), and promotes programs for Muslims and non-Muslims.

We have a strong liaison with the Islamic Center of Rochester (ICR), which is located at 727 Westfall Road, in Rochester, NY. It is about 10 minutes away from the RIT campus. MSA students at RIT are considered vital participants in all the educational, social, and religious activities of the Muslim community in Rochester. As an active MSA chapter on the east coast, we are also participants of the Muslim Students Association National - East Zone.
