Phi Kappa Psi - NYθ

Phi Kappa Psi (ΦΚΨ) - New York Theta is a social fraternity at Rochester Institute of Technology. We all aim to mold better men and improve our community through philanthropic endeavors. The Brothers of Phi Kappa Psi are always looking to better the lives of our Brothers, academically and socially, through the many opportunities within the fraternity. 47 diverse Brothers within our chapter are studying various subjects offered at RIT. The amount of new experiences is endless.

Philanthropy

Service and philanthropy are also major parts of who we are. New York Theta works to give back to the RIT and Rochester communities through fundraising, volunteering, and events that support meaningful causes. We believe that being a Phi Psi means using our time and energy to make a positive impact beyond ourselves.

Leadership

Our chapter also values leadership and personal development. With an Executive Board and 16 active committees, brothers have the opportunity to help run the organization, plan events, manage budgets, lead recruitment, organize philanthropy, build alumni relationships, and represent the chapter across campus. These experiences help prepare members for leadership long after graduation.

Brotherhood

Brotherhood is at the center of our chapter. Whether through weekly meetings, brotherhood events, retreats, alumni gatherings, or everyday support, Phi Psi creates a community where members can rely on one another. Our brothers come from different majors, backgrounds, and interests, but we are united by a shared commitment to improving ourselves and supporting each other.

Past and Present

Since receiving our charter in 1992, New York Theta has built a lasting legacy at RIT. With more than 550 initiated members and a strong alumni network, our chapter continues to benefit from generations of brothers who remain connected through mentorship, scholarships, career support, and lifelong friendship. Our history gives us a foundation, but our focus remains on building a stronger future for the brothers who come next.

As President of Phi Kappa Psi New York Theta, I am proud to lead a chapter built on brotherhood, service, academic growth, and personal responsibility. Our goal is not only to strengthen our own members, but to make a lasting impact on the RIT community and the people around us. We are committed to becoming better men, better leaders, and better brothers every day.
