Activism Committee

Here, we provide an avenue for students to engage in direct action through education, organizing, and service.

Meetings are Wednesdays from 4-5pm in Javas.

Education through Demonstration

To prevent students from having a working praxis insular within the campus, we strive to provide direct engagement with the larger Rochester area to broaden experiences.

Climate Strikes

While we most notably participate in RPCC's yearly Climate Strike, we are open to organizing and participating in smaller-scale protests.

Film Screenings

For student engagement, we host educational movie viewings, which have included Cowspiracy and Plastic Paradise.

Education Campaigns

These are more central to the general meetings, as current events, environmental history, and theory are integral to being an effective activist in the movement.

Partnerships

To reach out to a more diverse network of organizers, we have worked with Rochester's Flower City Pickers, Food Not Bombs, and public schools for volunteer events.
