2024 Fall 24-Hour Show

The first weekend of every semester, RIT Players writes, directs, builds, acts, and produces a completely new show! It's a fun, fast-paced way to meet new people and get involved with theater at RIT!

Want to act? Drop-in auditions are on Friday, 8/30 from 7pm to midnight at CPC-2650. Rehearsals start on Saturday, 8/31 at 8am in the SAU Fireside Lounge. Don't sweat it — everybody gets a part! No prep required, just show up!

Want to write? The artistic directors will release the theme for the show on Friday, 8/30 at 8pm, and scripts can be submitted until midnight. You can team up, and you can submit whatever and however many scripts you want! Acts are usually between 3 to 7 minutes long and have around 4 characters, but that's not a rule!

Want to direct? Sign-ups are open on Friday, 8/30 from 7pm to midnight. Rehearsals start on Saturday, 8/31 at 8am in the SAU Fireside Lounge. You'll be in charge of directing an act and preparing its players, making decisions on design and effects. Experience is nice but optional.

Want to do tech? Our tech department will be meeting on Saturday, 8/31 at 10:30am outside Beanz. More details at our first General Meeting and on Discord.
