Business and Technology Professionals was founded on 3 focuses: networking, hands-on experience, and learning more about how technology relates to your career.
Our club is student-run with the assistance of various professors and fosters a welcoming environment for those interested in the intersection of business and technology. We are made up of a diverse range of students at RIT providing our members with the opportunity to enhance their business professionalism and technical expertise. Our members have the opportunity to meet visiting companies such as Southwest Airlines, Geico, M&T Bank, and more. Opportunities to gain experience are available through our semester projects where students may sign up for leader roles or to be part of a team in a tech-based project typically presented at ImagineRIT. An example of this is our Coding for Cookies project where club members developed a game for kids where basic coding skills were utilized to navigate a maze to collect cookies. We strive for our club members to continue to develop themselves professionally and to graduate with the skills they need to succeed in the career path of their choosing.
