About Us

Welcome to Vis Viva Dance Company! We are a student led and choreographed dance group at Rochester Institute of Technology. All students from every skill level are welcome to join!

After committing to Vis Viva, members will select a style for their company dance (i.e. lyrical, contemporary, jazz, tap, musical theatre, and hip-hop) . All members must participate in one company dance, and be available for our end of semester showcase, where the number is preformed. In addition to company dances, members have the opportunity to join or choreograph small-group dances. Small groups are created and choreographed by club members, giving everyone the chance to explore creativity, and collaboration. Rehearsals take place every Sunday throughout the day (Company dances from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm).

For dancers seeking additional performance opportunities, our Performing Team (PT) and Alumni Team (AT) offer more challenging choreography for more experienced dancers. Both teams preform at collegiate competitions and events such as Brick City Weekend, Imagine RIT, Relay4Life, etc. Participation in these groups is audition-based.
