By Laws

Any RIT student is eligible to join Car Club, but upon becoming a member will be expected to uphold a certain set of standards to ensure the safety and wellbeing of club members and other members of the RIT community:

1. To join Car Club, join our RIT CampusGroups to receive event notifications and other communications. This is the main point of contact for the club.

2. No reckless behavior will be tolerated, at any time. This includes following all RIT speed limits, traffic laws, and parking rules and regulations.

3. Discrimination of any kind is never tolerated. Car Club is open for all RIT students to enjoy without judgment from others.

4. No hazing of any kind is allowed in accordance with the New York State Hazing Laws.

5. All Car Club members are required to adhere to the Car Club by-laws in their actions, serving as ambassadors for the organization both on and off campus. Representing the club entails upholding its principles and values in all interactions and activities.

6. In the event of conflicts among club members, the vice president shall facilitate open communication and mediation to seek amicable resolutions. If internal resolution attempts prove unsuccessful, the matter may be escalated to the club advisor for further guidance and resolution.

Any member found violating these standards will have their membership revoked and will not be welcomed back to future Car Club events.
