ABOUT US

Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on March 15, 1989 by 17 women who had the vision of establishing a home for impassioned women leaders of all races and ethnicities. Our organization strives to serve and educate the greater community, and provides an outlet for sisterhood, leadership development and the empowerment of women. Throughout the history of the Eta Chapter, we have upheld the ideals of our Radiant Founders and have embraced and celebrated the diversity of all women.

CHAPTER HERSTORY

On December 17 th , 1994, two empowered women at SUNY Brockport chartered the Eta Chapter of Omega Phi Beta Sorority Inc. We celebrate the success of the women of our past, recognize the accomplishments of women today, and encourage and uplift future generations. This sisterhood, like any home, has become a place in which we can all go and discuss obstacles, frustrations, passions, fears, and dreams. The women of this household have found their place in the heart of Omega Phi Beta, which fosters their desire to develop as role models in leadership, scholarship, and service. Our charter has since expanded to include the University of Rochester & the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1999 and Nazareth College in 2011.
