Fall Zone Conference '24

The Fall Zone Conference (FZC) is one of NSBE’s key annual events, bringing together chapters from across the Upstate Zone for a weekend of workshops, networking, and preparation for the National Convention in the spring. NSBE is divided into six geographical regions, each with multiple zones and we are proud to say that RIT NSBE has hosted the last three Upstate Zone FZCs right here on our campus!

FZC '24 Recap

In October 2024, we once again welcomed students from across the region to our campus for a full day of professional growth, leadership development, and community building. Attendees participated in engaging workshops, connected with peers and professionals, and exchanged ideas to strengthen their chapters. Beyond the scheduled programming, members had the chance to share experiences, build lasting friendships, and celebrate the power of the NSBE network.

The conference was more than just an event, it was a reminder of the strength and potential within our community. Alongside our college peers, we welcomed bright and determined high school NSBE members who brought a fresh perspective and contagious enthusiasm. Their presence was a powerful reminder that the pipeline of Black STEM talent starts early, and events like this play a key role in nurturing it.

Hosting FZC gave RIT NSBE another opportunity to showcase our leadership, create an empowering space for Black STEM talent, and keep the “One Fiyah… More Fiyah 🔥” spirit alive.
