A person to manage the communication and social media presence of the DSA.

Time commitment -> 5-7 hrs per week. Depends on the amount of messages you need to send out and manage.
Main Responsibilities
Managing the outgoing communications from DSA through different channels.
The person will work closely with a team of social media specialists to handle the social media presence.
The person will be responsible for sharing the events organized by the DSA with all relevant parties.
Nice to have;
Experience with marketing on social media and other techniques.
Creativity and writing skills to proofread any materials that may go out.
Content creation such as Canva/Photoshop for quick posters.
Techniques on promoting events through social media/emails.
Content Creator
Reports to Events Manager/Communications Officer
Works with the DSA Team
Time commitment -> less than 4 hours per week.
Main Responsibilities
Creation of promotional material (flyers/banners) for social media and emails for the events and activities DSA is organizing.
Nice to have

Events Manager
A person to manage the events organized by the team.

Works with -> DSA Team
Time commitment -> 5-7 hrs per week. Depends on the amount of events you need to manage.
Main Responsibilities
Managing the events from the DSA Team and to aid with handling the processes to create it with the RIT's event management system.
The person will work with the rest of the DSA team to collect the event requests, and their needs.
The person will also communicate with the communications officer for any event related marketing material to share with the communications.
The person will also work directly with the president, VPs and treasurer for event request reviews.
The person will also work with the photography team for documenting the events.
Nice to have;
Experience with project/event management or even willingness to learn.
Experience with tools at RIT for event management such as campusgroups/reserve.rit.edu.
Photographer
Reports to the Events Manager and Communications Officer
Works with the DSA Team
Time commitment ~4 hours per week based on the # of events.
Main Responsibilities
Working with the Events manager and Communications teams for events they need a photographer present for documenting events.
Providing/posting the photos to the DSA social media as an update to promote it.
Nice to have
Experiences with event photography and quick edits for promotions.
Photo touchup skills with lightroom or any other photo touchup software.
Program Lead for the DSA Conference Participation Award
Reports to the DSA Eboard
Works with DSA EBoard, faculty and RIT Graduate School.
Time commitment ~5 hours per week
Main Responsibilities
The person will be responsible for managing the process of DSA CPA from collecting the submissions from the students, sending them out to review for faculty, and distributing the funds.
The person works with all the responsible teams for collecting information needed for review/distribution of funds.
Nice to have;
Experiences with managing submissions for funding proposals/papers/articles for review and their platforms such as easychair.
Program Representatives (12 members in total)
Report to the DSA Eboard
Works with DSA Eboard and their respective PhD program coordinators.
Time commitment 5 hour per month.
Main Responsibilities
Attend meetings once a month and participate in promoting key DSA initiatives within their program.
Be a part of the decision making process within DSA.
Collect inputs from students using periodic surveys/questionnaires/interviews.
