What is a Game Jam?

A Game Jam is a 24-hour event where participants can collaborate and make games from scratch. For the Tiger Games, participants will be able to collaborate in teams of up to four people and all submissions will compete for prizes.

Are you ready to put your skills to the test?

Register for the Tiger Games and challenge yourself to make a game from scratch as a part of a team! If you are new to game development, we will have a Unity workshop taught by an RIT professor if you would like to learn the game engine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend this event?

The Tiger Games is open to all current RIT students! Everyone is welcome to attend regardless of their experience with game design and development.

Do I have to make a game?

Yes, our game jam event is focused on making games from scratch. We will only accept submissions that are games.

Do I only have to use Unity to make a game?

You do not need to limit yourself to making a game using Unity. All participants are allowed to use any game emgine, platform, or programming langauge to create their game from scratch.

Can I submit a past game I've worked on?

We would appreciate it if you only submit games that you have created during our event.

What if I don't have a group?

Don't worry! We will have a space in our Discord and time after our opening ceremony to allow those looking to collaborate in a group to find partneres.
