Providing care to our local feral cat colonies for over 20 years
Caring Hearts For RIT Cats seeks to provide care, comfort, and security to RIT feral cats, strays, and kittens on and surrounding RIT's campus. We are these animals' voices and their advocates and we believe it's our responsibility to make sure they are happy, healthy, and well fed. We make this a reality, by providing volunteer "feeders" to make sure they have accessible food every day of the week and by ensuring they are neutered or spayed so the cat colonies will not grow out of control. We fundraise money to pay for vet visits, food, and shelter materials and if any cat is or was domestic, we make sure they go to happy, responsible, loving homes. We also educate the community about feral cats and what to do if they can no longer care for their cat. In this case, we will take the pet with no questions asked because the important thing is that the cat doesn't become a stray when we can make sure it will go to a good forever home.
We will help you with resources and assist you in finding a new home for your cat. No questions asked. Please reach out!
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, including feeding, cat transport, and fostering! Join our group to get started with us today.
