Mission
Caring Hearts For RIT Cats seeks to provide care, comfort, and security to RIT feral cats, strays, and kittens on and surrounding RIT's campus. We are these animals' voices and their advocates and we believe it's our responsibility to make sure they are happy, healthy, and well fed. We make this a reality, by recruiting volunteer feeders to make sure they have access to food every day of the week and by ensuring they are neutered or spayed so the cat colonies will not grow out of control. We fundraise money to pay for vet visits, food, and shelter materials and if any cat is or was domestic, we make sure they go to happy, responsible, loving homes. We also educate the community about feral cats and what to do if they can no longer care for their cat.
