RIT Dance Camp: Hip-Hop Workshop with Julia Nguyen

Students will engage in foundational exercises and drills in groups and across the floor, culminating in a combo that focuses on the social and communal aspect of hip-hop dance.

Julia Nguyen is a dancer and educator from Rochester, New York. She has been an adjunct professor at RIT since 2019 teaching hip hop dance as part of the NTID Performing Arts Department and RIT Wellness Program. Julia also serves as the coach for the RIT Hip Hop Dance Collective under SPA where the team won 1st place at RBDC 2024, a local dance competition hosted by RIT Velocity. Julia has traveled to Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, and Toronto to attend professional dance classes at studios such as Millennium, Playground LA, the Underground Dance Center, Studio North, and Puzzle Box Dance Studio.
