The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the programming and governing body of the 12 fraternities at RIT. Every person who joins one of these groups is a member of IFC. Every group has a representative or chapter delegate that attends the IFC meetings. These individuals are the communication link between IFC and their chapters. The Interfraternity Council meets once every other week. The IFC leadership is composed of a President and 7 Executive Officers. The IFC provides opportunities for interaction among fraternities with events such as Greek Week, various social programs, educational speakers and workshops, and much more.

IFC has a General Meeting every other week, which is open to the public, and an Executive Board meeting every other week (Officers and Advisors).

Interfraternity Creed

We, the Interfraternity Council, exist to promote the shared interests and values of our member fraternities: leadership, service, brotherhood and scholarship. We believe in Fraternity and that the shared values of Fraternity drive the IFC to create better communities, better chapters and better men.

We work to advance the academic mission of the host institution, to enable fraternal organizations to grow and thrive through collaboration and teamwork, to provide an outlet for self-governance and accountability, and to model and teach ethical leadership. In a spirit of mutual support and betterment, we, the men of the Interfraternity Council, pledge to elevate the Ritual and the values of the member organizations.
