Image ID: Two figures appear in front of a crowded room. One in a leather jacket and cool jeans, the other in the coziest sweater. The individual small discussion are lit overhead, the end of a chili-dinner discussion about books. The room will soon empty, but the conversations keep hearts warm.
We are so close to Spring Break! Elly and AJ joined us at worship last Sunday, we had Gates Presbyterian Church with us to celebrate Transfiguration and Change. We sang Rainbow Connection from Muppet Movie together, it was so special.
May your bellies be full as you take the steps towards some deep rest. We're getting there, folks. Bit by bit.

Worship Remix Tonight: Dinner Dialogue! (Ash Wednesday version.)
PRISM (Up near Fireside Lounge)
5:00 - 6:30ish
Let's eat pizza and talk ritual! We'll look over the history of Ash Wednesday and consider its impact in our lives and faith.
And! Since this is the beginning of Lent, let's have a gabby historical talk about the liturgical seasons. Why do we lean in and let our faith shape our year? How can we enjoy the ride?
One of the best parts of Christian tradition is how it offers us structure and form in times of chaos. Time to learn a bit so we can weather any storm.
~*~* Christianity is Magic*~*~
Speaking of Transfiguration... (and Spring!)
I love the alchemy of how Christianity transposes works from one medium to another. First we start with Psalm 23...

Iconic meditation. Try saying it out loud, verse 6 will fill your soul as a mantra should.
Then! We get to this updated choral setting from Isaac Watts and Virgil Thomson. Isaac wrote the text in 1717, Virgil wrote the words over 200 years later.
And now! Hannah Dunnett's creation from the Psalm, new art from ancient words:

All we've ever done in Christianity is retell ancient stories in new ways. What joy.
Coming Up:
- PCC Discord's here! Can't wait to grow our community into digital spaces. Let's spend a week or two puttering around getting to know it and each other.
- Games Can Help has been rescheduled for Friday, March 28th! Want to join the leadership team? Tons to do as we plan together on discord.
- Drop-in Counseling is cancelled today, apologies! We'll be back together after Spring Break.
- I'm taking ASL this semester, it's so fulfilling. Want to help practice and build some community? Let me know.
