Hispanic Engineer of the week:
Luis Alvarez was a physicist whose research included particle physics, radar, and nuclear science. He developed multiple radar systems during World War II, worked on the Manhattan Project, and was involved in the development of a liquid hydrogen bubble chamber, which enabled detection of subatomic particles. Alvarez won the 1968 Nobel Prize in Physics.

SHPE will be hosting the very first LATINX Graduation
We are so excited to share this news of the Latinx Graduation:
The Latinx Graduation Event will be an Annual Event hosted to create a space to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments, successes and achievements of all RIT Latinx Graduates for this year highlighting 2024 Latinx Graduates. It would be a bilingual event open to all undergraduate, graduate and professional students receiving degrees at RIT. We hope to feature student, faculty and alumni speakers of Latinx Descent and overall it would be an event with family engagement , food and performances hosted by Latinx student and community groups.
Please stay alert on our socials for more information as we release it!
