Wordsmiths Update - Zine Workshop
Ello, ‘ello, ‘ello wordsmiths,
How’s your day been? Good? When people ask about the quality of someone else’s day, they sometimes ask too early in the day to give a conclusive assessment; however, since we’ve reached the evening, it’s a fair question to ask. Well, if you answered anything less than good, that’s unfortunate. On the plus side, the week’s not even halfway done yet. The day is just about over but this week is just getting started, and we’ve got something that’ll raise your spirits and the week’s evaluation.
This Thursday (10/09) from 8-10pm, come join the Wordsmiths in EAS-3335, where we will be hosting our own Zine Workshop! Writing for zines is a hands-on workshop where participants will learn and explore the DIY spirit of zine-making. A zine (pronounced “zeen”) is a handmade booklet that can be filled with drawings, poetry, prose, comics - whatever you like to express whatever you feel.
If that sounds like fun, please try to join us Thursday night. And if you need more motivation, know that there’ll be snacks. Feel free to tell your friends, tell the trees, tell the voices in your head, and the horrors in your nightmares. Hope to see you Thursday!
Best,
The Wordsmiths E-Board
