PCC News for Tuesday, December 10th:

Image Description: A small fluffy dog looks curiously at the camera, tail ready to wag. Behind the pup we see a snow-covered bridge, just a few feet long. The bare trees loom, but the sky keeps moving. Winter has arrived.

A few days ago we noticed that the bridge down the road had been fixed. They'd added new guardrails and a stronger foundation so it wouldn't give out during heavy rainfall. I wonder if that's how this Advent season could feel, PCC. We might not notice any changes on the surface, but the structure underneath has been entirely reinforced. As we wait, perhaps we could notice our strength.

This semester I've seen you each grow stronger -- in your quest for meaning, in your fath journey towards or away from spirituality, in your ability to bounce back and stay curious.

Before I get all sentimental...

Study Break!

Last week we had our final DD where folks shared things they'd learned, some literal, some existential. Then on Thursday our Lessons and Carols ecumenical worship service was reverent and joyous. That's enough of a program year for PCC, let's see what the rest of campus is doing to relax:

SRL's study break in Fireside Lounge is this afternoon! I'll be there 1:00 - 3:00, let's chat and snack and let our smooth brains fly.

Then! Our neighbors with Chabad are throwing a Pre-Chanukah Party in Fireside from 5:30 - 7;30. There will be Latkes, so it's going to be legit. Have you been to a Chanukah party before? I've been going since elementary school, the blend of lights, music, and soul-warming food is an incredible tradition.

This is it! I'm seeing some of you today, I am happy to hop on the phone and catch up if you want during finals stress.

I'm so proud of you, folks. It's been an honor to see you keep going. Just a bit left, almost time to rest.

I hope winter break is absolutely, ridiculously fun. You are blessed to be a blessing, dear folks.

Talk soon, see you on Tuesday, January 14th for our first day back!
