Hello Tigers!

This past Saturday club members gathered to learn about how our bees (and bees in general) spend the cold winter months. Read more below!

Our next meeting will be on February 4th, at 3:00 pm in Gosnell 1300. We'll be making earrings for ourselves and to sell!

Overwintering Lesson!

Ellie, our club president, gave a presentation at the most recent meeting on how bees overwinter, or spend their winters. This includes clustering together to stay warm and not going to the bathroom!

Ellie as discussed how we prepared our hives at RIT for the winter (pictured above) and how she prepares her hives back home.

If you missed the meeting, there will be a blog post on overwintering soon on the club website!

Get Connected!

We have a Discord where we frequently send out reminders about meetings, hive inspections, and honey extractions. Make sure to join here to have access to this information!
