Image ID: A grainy photo of a blue and white wall, painted roughly. A gold outline figure of a crawling baby is drawn onto the paint with lines coming out of it. Are they rays of light? A halo? The figure has energy and focus, its simple message is hard to pin down.
This is a version of Keith Haring's Radiant Baby, imprinted into a wall of his childhood home. Welcome to Advent, PCC.
This week we'll await the miraculous babe, we'll get things done, we'll celebrate God's providence in our life as we sing carols and eat well. What more could we ask for?
As you prepare for finals and all of the holiday hustle and bustle beyond, ask for help and pay attention to what your body and soul are telling you. We've got a lot to celebrate after this year as we dance between "we did it!" and "miles to go before we sleep."
Well done getting here, well done getting the next steps in order. As we wait, we pray and eat and work.

Tonight: Dinner Dialogue (Let's plan!)
PRISM (Campus Center, 2050)
5:00 - 6:30ish
Pizza! Friends!
We've got some planning to do on our upcoming Lessons and Carols service, let's take a minute and structure Thursday's event based on the feedback we're getting from our interfaith community. Many hands, light lift.
Then we'll yap about vocaloid, of course.
~*~* Christianity is Magic*~*~
What's your favorite Christmas album? For me, it's Joan Baez's Noel.

We listened to it on vinyl growing up, it immediately takes me to that place of wonder and opportunity. The inherent sadness of Joan's voice mixed with her political resistance & liberation work, chef's kiss. She has this way of capturing everything I feel about Advent, Christmas, and that beautiful sprawl into the new year.
That's the fun about the season, for me. Christ is in the easy snowfall. We huddle up by the fire to stay warm, waiting for hope to appear around the corner. The good days feel magical, the tough days help us learn to dig deeper and find strength.
What's your favorite Christmas album, and how does God speak through it? Would love to hear some thoughts on discord.
Blessings, PCC. Happy Advent. What a gift you all are.
Coming Up:
- Want a fun, relaxing way to engage with PCC? Join on discord for geeky conversation, spiritual reflection, and new ways of thinking about faith.
- Join our lovely TABLE Community on Sunday nights for worship and dinner! Been collaborating a lot with Pastor Craig over the years, he's an amazing guy. If you're curious about details, PCC co-president Atticus can help.
- Drop-in Counseling is happening today! See you 2:30 - 4:00 at my office just off of Fireside Lounge. Put your name on the dry erase board and knock if you want to wait in line, can't wait to catch up.
