ƒÆ½ Good Morning! ƒÆ½
Happy October! The start of spooky season has finally commenced ƒÄâ We hope you all enjoyed your weekend after a long week of preparing for events such as Affinity Fair and Career Fair. Tonight, we hope you'll join us in GOL 2400 to destress with some escape rooms and food from Roll'n Deep!
Affinity Fair + Career Fair Recap 
We hope you were all successful at Affinity Fair and Career Fair last week! Thank you to everyone who came to our Career Readiness workshops to prepare for these events, as well as those of you who came to represent COMS at the Affinity Fair. Special thanks to the companies who helped us deliver these workshops, L3Harris and Carrier!
Community Engagement Committee
As part of the Community Engagement Committee, you will help to build pathways for young people of color and underrepresented groups who are interested in computing. Contribute to crafting meaningful experiences for students exploring COMS and RIT. Whether it's Open Houses, Flower City Hacks (middle school mini-hackathon), or Brick City Weekend!
This week's meeting will be held today, October 2nd, in GOL-1610 from 11:30am - 12:30pm. If you want to be involved and can't come to the meetings, check out the committee notes which will be posted in discord!
In the Tech Projects Committee, you will get a chance to participate in various tech projects with and for the COMS community. This includes volunteering and planning large-scale technical events such as the Tiger Games, and getting more involved with COMS within the RIT community.
This week's meeting will be held on friday, from 5-6pm in GOL 2500. If you want to be involved and can't come to the meetings, check out the committee notes which will be posted in the discord!
