Good morning, spring birds. I have a sneaking suspicion that things are going to get a bit easier day by day over here. The schedule density will change. I promise! There's a ton to do and we're all a bit swamped, but hear me out: Three weeks from now, life will feel different. Easy-different.
Tons of work will be done and won't come back. You'll still be here; some of the stress will not. Find the little birdhouses to keep you warm until we're all relaxed taking naps in the sun. Getting there. Proud of you for sticking it out.

Tonight! Music and Meaning
As always we'll be upstairs in the sun room listening to music, singing a bit, perhaps signing a song or two. M&M is our chillest program in the PCC Grab Bag, each month is a new chance to discover something new about your fellow PCCer. It's always more than just hearing a song, we end up feeling music together in the coolest way.
This week's theme: "Inner Child Songs." Bring us one of the songs that reminds me of childhood. Or a song you loved as a kid. Or a song that is for kids that you listen to! Tons of options.
Bonus playlist from last month's Music and Meaning, theme "Heat it up!" We were shocked by how folksy this one got.
Don't Forget Me by Maggie Rogers
Baby I'm Burnin' by Dolly Parton
500 Miles (Railroader's Lament) by Peter, Paul, and Mary
Nation of Heat by Joe Pug
Napalm Sticks to Kids*** cw: Vietnam protest song using outdated language
Wrecking Ball by Mother Mother
Singer of Songs by Johnny Cash
Grow by Samm Henshaw

Christianity is Weird:
We're going Bible weird today, folks. Some of you came to UR to hear last Sunday night's sermon on this passage from the Gospel of Luke; I still can't get it out of my head. In this fab Easter passage the following things happen in a few short verses:
- Jesus boops into the conversation while they were talking and they get scared because surely he's a ghost
- He says "definitely not a ghost" by proving how corporeal he is by showing his crucifixion wounds
- They touch his wounds and still say "nah you're a ghost" because they're that scared
- Jesus pivots to hunger as we so often do and they BROIL FISH for him which we presume was one of his favorites? So casual with the broiled fish.
- He reminds them of the Messianic promise one more time in case they forgot he was Christ. One more tl;dr. Jesus got a little pedantic sometimes.
- Verse 45 is wild: "Then he opened their minds to understand the scripture" I will never understand that as long as I live what could it imply?! Psychedelic, surely.
- After this verse he ascends and then we immediately get to the book of Acts where they start leading the church and fighting for their lives. Disciples become Apostles.
The narrative construction of the Bible -- especially the Gospels -- is so strange and mystifying. There's no western dramatic arc or denouement or anything, it's just events and experiences for us to interpret. Love our strange book.
Jesus liking fish so much he wants it before he goes to heaven is so cool and weird.
