Image ID: A person in a giant orange squid costume wearing sunglasses smiles joyously while holding a sign that says "We the People will NOT be silenced." Behind the squid we see folks ambling, processing around a grassy field. Further behind them we see business buildings and a partly cloudy sky.
That's right, squiddy! We've got work to do, and this weekend we did the work. Well done, folks. Whether you were out in the streets or holding down the fort, we all did our part this past week.
During these rainy days ahead, don't hesitate to keep taking space around your physical and mental limits. We have time to pace the work, God will keep meeting us as we ask for help.
One step at a time, with the axolotls and froggies and squids and raccoons cheering us on.

Tonight: Resistance Bible Study
Skalny Room (Lower level of Schmitt Interfaith Center)
5:00 - 6:30ish
Bible nerds! We're gonna do some lection divina around Psalm 121 tonight.
We'll talk strength and fortitude, how does our relationship to "The Good Book" remind us to keep ourselves together amidst the storms of life?
This will be the perfect program for those looking for a way to rest and reflect.
~*~* Christianity is Magic*~*~
Tomorrow, our PCC @ UR student leaders are going to be meeting to schedule our yearly "Blessing of the Animals" worship service. It's a longstanding tradition even before Christianity bubbled up from the primordial ooze, check it!

BEES! (Of course it was Saint Francis who popularized the ritual in the monastic era. Always St. Franny. Queer icon.)
As we were planning a bit, we had some theological discussion around the idea of stewardship. Who's the sheep? Are we in charge? Are we the shepherd for the earth?
Personally, I like the reminder that My Shepherd will supply my need.
Hope you feel connected to the earth and all its inhabitants, blessed.
