Thank you to everyone who attended our Fireside Chat last week! We hope you learned some tips and tricks on how to prepare for internships and adjust back to RIT student life after being away on a job opportunity.

Join us on Monday, March 6th, where we will be welcoming Counseling and Psychological Services representatives for a presentation about Negative Self-Talk and how it impacts one's mental well-being and performance. We'll see you in GOL 2400 at 6:30pm!

COMS Discord Modifications

We are overhauling our Discord server this weekend! If you are currently on our Discord server and have not yet seen the recent announcement, please complete the following steps to receive your Discord verification by Saturday, March 4th at 11:59pm.

  1. Change your Discord Server Profile to either your first and last name or your first name and last initial
  2. Complete the 3 questions Discord Verification Form below

Both items must be complete to receive verification. We appreciate your cooperation!

Thursdays in GOL 2400

Academic Haven serves as a safe space where students can study, work on homework, or review class materials in a supportive environment. Come drop by and check out our Cracking the Code Interview book!

Community Engagement Committee

As part of the Community Engagement Committee, you will help to build pathways for young people of color and underrepresented groups who are interested in computing. This committee will be planning for COMS Source Code, our social for accepted students that will take place on March 25th and April 1st.

This week's meeting will be held in CYB 2791 from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. If you are unable to make it in person, this meeting will also be held on Zoom.

Tech Projects Committee

The Tiger Games, our premier game jam, will be taking place next month! Join this committee to help plan for an exciting event with workshops, prizes, food, game-making, and more.

These meetings will be held on Thursdays in GOL 2400 from 5:30pm - 6:30pm.
