Happy Hispanic Heritage Month everyone! We hope you all enjoyed our resume review workshop last week with L3Harris, because they will be joining us again tonight for an interview prep workshop in GOL 2400!
Also, we are looking for freshman representatives for COMS! If you're a freshman and interested in the positon, please fill out the form here by September 22nd at noon.
COMS Console Hours ƒÄ«
The COMS Console is a space located in GOL 2503 open to all our members! If you ever need a spot to do homework or enjoy some snacks, make sure to stop by!
Community Engagement Committee
As part of the Community Engagement Committee, you will help to build pathways for young people of color and underrepresented groups who are interested in computing. Contribute to crafting meaningful experiences for students exploring COMS and RIT. Whether it's Open Houses, Flower City Hacks (middle school mini-hackathon), or Brick City Weekend!
The first committee meeting of the semester will be held today in GOL-1610 from 11:30am - 12:30pm. If you want to be involved and can't come to the meetings, check out the committee notes which will be posted in discord!
In the Tech Projects Committee, you will get a chance to participate in various tech projects with and for the COMS community. This includes volunteering and planning large-scale technical events such as the Tiger Games, and getting more involved with COMS within the RIT community.
