RIT's Response

This web page is NOT a replacement for updates regarding RIT's COVID-19 policies. For information regarding such matters please go to the RIT Ready website.

For RIT Women's Club Hockey's specific plans, see the most recent details below.

Update from June 2021

Again, we want to thank all of our members for adhering to our COVID-19 guidelines during the 2020-21 school year.  In the Fall 2020 semester we were able to participate in off-ice conditioning and skills, and in the Spring 2021 semester we held on-ice practices at the Gene Polisseni Center.

We are currently still operating under the same rules and regulations as the Spring 2021 semester; however, we are optimistic about being able to compete against other teams in the 2021-22 season.  Details regarding the upcoming season will be released once there is an official ruling on whether our club is allowed to compete against other universities.

We hope everyone continues to stay safe and healthy over the summer.  All RIT students are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the 2021-22 school year.  Proof of COVID-19 vaccination must be submitted to the RIT Wellness Portal by August 1, 2021.

Update from December 11, 2020

We want to thank all of our members for being respectful of our COVID-19 guidelines through the fall 2020-21 semester. We were able to avoid transmission amongst our team and still host valuable off-ice conditioning and skills practices. We hope everyone stays safe and healthy through the winter break and is able to continue practicing in any regard.

Until further notice, we will not be holding on-campus or off-campus on-ice practices in the spring. All of our club functions as of right now will be held off-ice and outdoors with social distancing measures in place, including but not limited to conditioning and stick handling drills.

We encourage all members to bring their equipment to campus in the chance that ice time becomes available for club use this spring. Any on-ice practices will adhere to social distancing precautions as well.

Our official plan for the spring 2020-21 semester will be sent out closer to the start of classes, after we have received approval from the Center for Recreational Sports.

Update from July 13, 2020

We strongly recommend that all of our members take the pledge to be safe both at home and on campus to ensure that we are protecting not only ourselves but our teammates and classmates as well.
