Join RIT Alum and former student-athlete, Kiana Walker, Mental Health Counselor, for a mental performance program that equips athletes with tools to enhance their resilience and overall performance. It starts by exploring motivation to identify intrinsic drivers and set meaningful goals. Athletes will learn emotion regulation and stress management techniques to stay composed under pressure. The program emphasizes self-talk to boost confidence and fosters accountability partnerships to encourage personal responsibility. Additionally, athletes will develop essential leadership skills to inspire their teammates while cultivating self-awareness to better understand their strengths and weaknesses. Together, these components create a comprehensive approach to optimizing mental performance in sports—and we’ll have a little fun along the way!
