Thinking about changing your major?
Visit rit.edu/majorfair to learn more!
You need to meet with your academic advisor during your first semester at RIT. If you haven't met with your advisor yet, you can still build your shopping cart beginning on October 28th. However, after your enrollment appointment begins, you will not be able to register if you haven't met with your advisor.
If you are not sure if you need to meet with your advisor, click on the Tasks icon on the SIS homepage. Advisors' calendars fill up quickly during this time in the semester, so please plan ahead when scheduling your meeting! The easiest way to schedule a meeting with your advisor is through Starfish. Depending on where you find yourself feeling about the major you're in, you may want to reach out to different RIT resources to help you decide your next steps.
If you are questioning your major, bring this up in your first advising meeting. If you already met with your advisor, check in to see if it would be beneficial to meet again prior to enrollment.
