Getting Involved at RIT

We're already four weeks into the semester! Have you been thinking about getting involved in clubs, activities, and other ways to connect with people? Whether you're looking for an interesting event, to join a club, or have an impact on your community, this week we've got some ideas to help!

Community Involvement

RIT's commitment to service is evident through the many clubs and student organizations who spent over 20,000 hours volunteering with local and global nonprofit agencies in 20-21. Each year student service and philanthropic giving is vital to boosting local resilience and building community within the broader Rochester area. At RIT active citizenship takes form in innovative ways that leverage digital platforms, environmental preservation, art and design, community organizing, and creative fundraising.

Every year, RIT students prove that they are ready and willing to respond to the call and to take inspired action to build a better future for our communities. To get involved check out the Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement, Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, Campus Life's service affiliated clubs, RIT Honors, or explore opportunities on our own using our Community Service Resource Guide.

Student Clubs and Organizations

With more than 300 student clubs and organizations you're bound to find something that appeals to your interests-if you haven't already. Scroll through the Student Clubs and Organization webpage to see club related events and categories of clubs to check out.

Events and Initiatives

The RIT events calendar is one of the best places to look for what's happening on campus. Find events and initiatives ranging from seminars to career workshops to kayaking to food trucks. No matter what your interests are, RIT can connect you with an event that you'll enjoy.
