Week 1: Start the Semester!

How do I know where to go?

Class Schedule: To view your class schedule, use SIS or Tiger Center. RIT is offering a mix of in-person, blended, and online course offerings this fall. This guide will help you understand these instruction modes.

Tiger Center: Tiger Center is an application designed and maintained for RIT students by RIT students. On Tiger Center you can search for classes, calculate your GPA, check hours and locations on campus, and access maps.

Campus Map: We recommend downloading the RIT app if you haven't done so yet. The map on the app is responsive to your location, making it easier to get to where you need to go. The campus map on the website is also a great tool.

Can I change my classes?

Advisor: If you're thinking about changing classes, your first stop should be your academic advisor! Who is your advisor? You can find your academic advisor's name in SIS, just click the "Advisors" tile.

Financial Aid: Any changes to the classes you're taking might impact your financial aid. If you have questions about financial aid you can find the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships in the Bausch & Lomb Building and can contact them here.

New technology tools?

Zoom: You may have classes that use Zoom this semester. If you do, check out this helpful Zoom intro! For a faculty introduction and "chat" about Zoom, watch Dr. Sandi Connelly share her Zoom thoughts here.

myCourses: RIT uses a tool called myCourses. Here you can find a chat about myCourses with Dr. Sandi Connelly.
