SRL is critical for student success - academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
85% of our staff and programs are supported by donors, foundations, and religious organizations outside RIT. We rely on the generosity of alumni, parents, the local community, and volunteers to provide 1,000 events and activities for students in 16 different religious communities on campus every year.

See what your donations can do for us
A one-time $50 donation can support a social activity for ten students to make friends or enable a chaplain to ten coffee chats with students about whatever is stressing them out.
A recurring monthly donation of $50 enables us to host a monthly program for an entire school year about spiritual wellbeing, interfaith dialogue, or religious education for up to 30 students.
A recurring monthly donation of $100 enables us to hire a student worker for 8 hours a week to keep our website updated, design flyers, greet guests in the Schmitt Interfaith Center, and support events happening in our spaces.
A donation of $2,000-$5,000 can support a major program like a speaker series or religious services and meals for a major holiday.
A donation of $5,000-$10,000 can fund a leadership fellowship program or an alternative spring break service program to give back to the community for 10-25 students.
A donation of $10,000-$20,000 can fund a Graduate Assistant for a year to design and run the kinds of programs listed above and provide a part-time chaplain for an underserved religious community.
A donation of $20,000-$50,000 can help us hire part-time chaplains or administrative support so our chaplains can focus on what they do best – helping students in distress and offering innovative programs.
A donation of $50,000-$100,000 can fund a full-time chaplain for a year or pay for a major physical improvement, such as that dream kitchen renovation we’ve been hoping and praying for since 1995.
Donations above $100,000 can provide significant multi-year support or help built our endowments to ensure long-term financial security for our religious programs.
