Please refer to your move-in group, time, and color as assigned to you by RIT Housing via mylife.rit.edu. Enter campus at Lomb Memorial Drive off of Jefferson Avenue to start your move-in process in G and H Lots. Our staff will be there to greet you and help you pick up your room key and ID card. This is a drive-through process, no need to get out of your car! You will then be directed to the appropriate color zone based on your residence hall assignment. Residence Life staff will be at all of the zones to assist you in unloading your car and checking out carts.

Paint your own laser-cut robot with Women in Technology (WIT). Our WIT robot mascot becomes your next dorm décor - add a magnet or ribbon! This event is hosted by the WIT student-run Executive Board and they'll be there to share upcoming events and plans for the fall semester including the WIT Project Team and other ways to get involved in WIT. Open to all. First come, first served.

Zindagi is RIT's one and only South Asian fusion dance team, bringing together culture, rhythm, and storytelling through movement. Blending traditional South Asian dance forms with Western styles such as hip hop and contemporary, Zindagi creates a unique vibrant and dynamic style, which we would like to share with you! We invite participants to join us in learning a short but upbeat segment of choreography. No prior dance experience is required, just bring yourself and be ready to have a good time!

RIT Cosplay Troupe presents Cosplay Chess: Charcuterie Board! This show gives you a taste of what to expect from our Cosplay Chess shows! This theatre production is a vignette style show that features actors performing as various characters from different media and franchises in pop culture. Each chess fight is carefully and lovingly crafted by each fighter! Watch some of your favorite characters from your favorite pieces of media battle each other to the death (or worse)! Every scene features a new set of characters competing for their lives! Who will survive? Come see the show to find out!

Participate in your first RIT 365 hands-on learning experience alongside your class facilitators. Together with their Orientation group, students will take part in one of RIT’s largest service events of the year -The Hunger Project! With orange hair nets and teamwork as your guiding forces, you will create 115,000 nutritious meals for Rochester’s FoodLink to be distributed to our neighbors. Join Student Government for a plant pot decorating event where you can meet current members, enjoy snacks, and learn how student leaders help shape the RIT experience. You'll also have the chance to explore the First-Year Senator role and other ways to get involved.

Learn salsa and bachata with Latin Rhythm Dance Club! Socialize and put your dancing moves into action. Enjoy the sun and culture with some latin food after an afternoon of dancing and fun!

Play in a casual ultimate frisbee scrimmage to get introduced to the sport and the RIT team. No prior experience with frisbee is required; we will teach you how to play! This scrimmage will provide a welcoming and spirited environment for new students, as well as showcase a fun way you can be active at RIT.

Safely observe the sun with our solar telescope! Participants will be able to see sunspots and solar prominences, and talk to some of the RIT Astronomy Club E-Board!

Members of the RIT Juggling Club will teach you the basics of juggling in a fun, supportive environment. Learn the classic 3-ball cascade, experiment with different juggling props, and meet other students looking to try something new. You'll also learn about the local juggling community and opportunities to get involved throughout the Rochester area.

Participate in a competitive Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament! This event give you a chance to challenge and meet other new students through a double elimination, best-of-3 bracket. Bring your own controller or borrow one for the event! All skill levels are encouraged to enter; we will teach you the process!
