Join us as we kick off Native American Heritage Month 2025, celebrating this year’s theme of Indigenous Health and Wellness through community, learning, and balance.
From 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, enjoy a welcome and community networking hour featuring tabling from the Hawaiian Culture Club, American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), Native American Student Association (NASA), RIT Archives, and RIT Counseling and Psychological Services (CaPS).
At 12:00 PM, Trish Corcoran (Tonawanda Seneca, RIT ’81) will share insights on Haudenosaunee wellness and the Good Mind, exploring traditional approaches to balance and harmony.
From 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Whitney Brooks (Seneca Nation), owner of Full Circle Nutrition, will lead a wellness activity centered on holistic health and Indigenous teachings.
Both speakers represent the Indigenous Health Coalition, whose work promotes wellness, visibility, and healing within Indigenous communities.
