Join us for a conversation with Dr. Evelyn Brister, Professor of Philosophy at RIT, whose research focuses on environmental philosophy, conservation ethics, and sustainability in practice. Dr. Brister will share insights from her recent book on sustainability in the U.S. Mountain West, exploring how private-public partnerships and civic engagement can create productive and lasting environmental change. This session will include an interactive dialogue, inviting you to reflect on the role of ethical decision-making, interdisciplinary collaboration, and community engagement in sustainability work. We hope you will leave with a deeper understanding of how sustainability challenges can be addressed at both local and national scales, and how civic and collaborative approaches shape meaningful outcomes.

When: Wednesday, October 29th at 2 P.M.
Where: Campus Center-2650 Bamboo Room
Who: You! Your friends! Feel free to invite someone to come along with you.
What to expect: Light refreshments and discussion with Dr. Brister in an indoor setting.
