This event is exclusively for students in RIT’s Accelerated Scholars programs and does not include Physician Assistant BS/MS students or those in those in accelerated pathways with partner universities.

Get ready to ROAR the Vote this year! Come learn about voting as a college student and how you can register to vote (or re-register!) and take part either through in-person voting or absentee voting. Participate in your first RIT 365 hands-on learning experience alongside your class facilitators. Together with their Orientation group, students will take part in one of RIT’s largest service events of the year -The Hunger Project! With orange hair nets and teamwork as your guiding forces, you will create 115,000 nutritious meals for Rochester’s FoodLink to be distributed to our neighbors. We gather on Sunday evenings for worship at 6:30 p.m. in the Allen Chapel inside the Schmitt Interfaith Center. Normally, we have music, readings from Holy Scriptures, either an Episcopal Priest or Lutheran Pastor will give a very brief sermon, and finally gather at the altar for communion. This is an opportunity for us to gather and take time to worship God in some new and maybe more creative ways. We hope you join us each week at The Table and consider becoming a part of our faith community on campus at RIT/NTID.
We do provide ASL interpreters each week, so let us know if you are coming.

On AB, students spend 5-9 days learning about critical challenges facing communities across the globe, interacting with local leaders, and performing short-term projects with community agencies. Since its inception in 2005, 662 students have volunteered through AB in 37 different cities and communities across the globe. Their work has resulted in over 19,000 hours of direct service equaling $573,000+ in economic impact. To ensure AB is accessible and affordable to all students, CLCE offers a scholarship program that can cover up to half the cost of their trip. Paired with crowdfunding, many students are able to significantly lower the cost of their total trip – and some don’t pay a penny out of pocket. Last year, 92% of students were able to reduce the cost of their trip through these means!
