About Us

RIT Model United Nations (Model UN), an RIT-based academic and social club, assists students in getting involved with local and global communities in order to make our world a better place to live. Active members meet new interesting people from across different majors and grade levels at RIT, participate in our annual National Model United Nations (NMUN) NY conference in the Spring, discuss pressing geopolitical issues with people from all over the globe as a representative of a nation state, create Draft Resolutions on said pressing geopolitical issues, and help facilitate an interest in geopolitics from a UN perspective at ImagineRIT. RIT Model UN welcomes student with diverse academic and personal backgrounds since we strongly believe that the problems considered in the international community require everybody's attention. We encourage members to take initiative in helping any communities and charitable organizations by dedicating their knowledge, expertise, and skills to help various causes.
