What We Do

Whether you are a current student, former student, faculty or staff member, or a member of the community -- the Q Center is here to serve you. We are committed to promoting a campus community that is safe, equitable, and respectful of all members. Thus, our Center is a resource for the entire RIT community.

Safety

As the primary resource for LGBTQIA+ members of the RIT community, the Q Center is devoted to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all those who call RIT home. We want every individual on campus to feel comfortable and secure, so they can focus on what matters.

Equitability

The Q Center wants to ensure everyone has an equal shot at success, and sometimes that means a little help is needed. Whether by advocating on behalf of students, faculty, staff and community members or just pointing that individual in the right direction, we are here to help.

Respect

Often, members of the LGBTQIA+ community come from a background in which they were forced to hide or diminish their self-identity. At RIT and through the Q Center, we encourage everyone to be themselves. Be who you are, and know the Q Center is behind you every step of the way.
