About Us
Nine Gates Mahjong seeks to spread knowledge and enjoyment of the game of Mahjong. We play predominantly Japanese Riichi Mahjong and help people improve their skill at the game. The RIT club is over a decade old, and has produced some of the nation's top Mahjong players with its mix of competitive play and fun times. The club is the staff for North America's most prestigious tournaments, has fielded referees at the World Riichi Championship, and has access to a massive physical library of mahjong strategy books and manga. We usually meet weekly on Mondays at 5 pm on the 2nd floor Lobby of the Campus Center (CPC 2950), and we also meet on Saturdays at 5 pm at Hammergirl Anime.
