The Mu Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. encompasses the campuses of: University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, St. John Fisher and State University of New York at Geneseo. The Mu Sigma Chapter has been a mainstay within the Greater Rochester Area, providing innovated programs such as the Miss Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant and Ball, Alpha Mentee Program and Welcome Back Bonanza. The Brothers of said Chapter work to enrich the community and appreciate the love and support in doing so.

Living up to the aims: Manly Deeds, Scholarship and Love for all Mankind means everything to a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. In every endeavor, members of this fraternity strive to live out said ideals; in addition to upholding high scholastic achievement and pursuing fulfilling philanthropic efforts. Brotherhood is a way of life, and through the light of alpha, men are urged to meet there maximum potential and encourage every individual they encounter to do the same.
