The RIT Equestrian Club is a club focused on intercollegiate competition, but dedicated to social interaction for those who enjoy horses, regardless of experience. We offer riding lessons in both Hunt Seat (English) and Western disciplines and show through the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) against other colleges.
Our members take weekly lessons at Lehman Farms (English) and/or The Homestead (Western). We also have competition teams in both disciplines that show in IHSA Zone 2 Region 1 against other schools upstate New York. We compete in eight regular season shows per year. Riders are able to participate in carpools to the barns and shows, so personal transportation is not necessary.
