Students are invited to watch a real-time live stream of the solar eclipse in Hydrogen Alpha (viewing the sun) with a specialized telescope and camera lens.
2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Students are invited to build their own DIY coronagraphs and learn about rocket usage.
2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Students can learn about the significance of eclipses in Pagan traditions from the Pagan Chaplain, Rauncie Reynolds. They can also receive free tarot readings and butterscotch candies.
2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Students can make their very own bracelets with solar eclipse themed beads.
2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Students are invited to build their own solar themed goodie bags; receive solar face paint/tattoo; and build their own DIY solar eclipse out of wood and paint.
2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Students are free to take pictures in a custom-made blackout photobooth with neon sticks. Creating your own galaxy themed sand art in bottles will also be offered.
2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Students are invited to use large format film negatives to make cyanotype prints on shirts.
