Founded in 2003, the RIT Ballroom Dance Club is a social club sponsored by Student Government that focuses on providing students and interested persons of all skill levels with instruction and the resources necessary to become involved in recreational or competitive ballroom dance. No partner or experience is necessary; our only requirement is that you have fun!

We expose regular members to the majority of traditional ballroom and latin/rhythm dances, primarily providing instruction for American waltz, tango, foxtrot, cha cha, rumba, mambo, and east coast swing. On occasion, instruction for dances not on our typical syllabus may also be provided.

We're just a small part of a larger community of dance clubs on the RIT campus. Therefore, we encourage our members to experiment with new and different styles of dance in order to improve their individual ability, meet new people, and achieve a more rounded knowledge of dance in general.

We do hope you’ll join us. To be added to our mailing list, shoot us an email at
rbdcballroom@gmail.com!
