Why should you volunteer with WIT?
Help to support the next generation in STEM. Encourage young scholars from Rochester at community events by sharing your experiences and representing RIT.
By welcoming guests to campus or engaging with accepted and prospective RIT students, YOU have the opportunity to inspire and promote inclusive and diverse STEM education. It feels good to give back!
Learn about your CET and RIT Community. At these events, you'll have an opportunity to connect and network with classmates, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. You never know where the next friendly or even professional opportunity can pop up!
You'll be offered lunch/snacks, swag, and/or support. We take care of our volunteers!
Active Members volunteer for at least one Outreach effort a semester. Active Membership in Women in Technology gets you special opportunities like priority at the Affinity Reception, special swag, etc. Active Membership means that you've participated in at least 6 events/meetings and at least 1 volunteer event.
