Mission The team participates in an annual competition, the SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge. The SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge (CSC) program is an engineering design competition for undergraduate and graduate students. The program provides participants with the opportunity to enhance their engineering, design, and project management skills by applying learned classroom theories in a challenging competition. Participants modify existing snowmobiles to be cleaner. That involves improving fuel economy, reducing emissions, and lowering noise pollution, all while maintaining the performance that the power sports industry offers. Teams will compete in various events, including dynamic events, such as acceleration, cold start, endurance/fuel economy, noise testing, emissions, and handling. Participants also compete in static events that are used to show the design process that the team went through. These include a technical design paper and presentation, a value benefit presentation, and a sale presentation. In short... improve the impact snowmobiles have on the environment while keeping them fun to ride!Being a part of our active and enthusiastic team, means you're also joining a fun and caring family. Each individual on the team has the opportunity to pursue a specific interest, all the while still contributing to the overall progress of the team. We welcome all new members and look forward to not only teaching them but also learning from everyone who decides to be a part of this amazing club!
