Want to see the universe up close? We are happy to announce our first Star Party this Friday evening from 7:30-9:30 pm inside (CAR-1125) and outside of Carlson Imaging Science building, weather permitting. There will be a short lecture and a warm-up space in case you get chilly.
As of now, Friday should be clear, but we know better than to underestimate Rochester's free spirit when it comes to weather. As a result, please check the discord before coming to ensure you don't miss any cancellations. No news is good news.
You will be able to see the Hunter's Moon, Venus (until 7:45 so arrive on time if you can!) and Jupiter (after 9:15).
Drop-ins at any time are welcome. Feel free to bring your own telescopes and equipment but no equipment or experience is required. Just show up!
This event is open to everyone in the RIT community and their family. Those in town for Brick City Weekend are welcome!
We hope to see you there!
Best,
Astronomy Club E-Board
