Avery's Workshop: Designing For Ambiguity & Metaphor

This three-hour workshop would use a mixture of case studies (The Quiet Year, Ribbon Drive, and Monsterhearts 2), group discussion, and breakout activities to explore how designs can enshrine fluidity, uncertainty, multivalence, and metaphor at their core. This workshop will involve emergent learning and ideas (ie. I'm not coming in with a hard take-away lesson, but rather some starting points and guiding questions), with a structure designed to keep momentum and energy up by shifting between different kinds of conversation.
