Rainbow Graduation is a longstanding tradition at RIT. Beginning as a "second chance prom," it provided an opportunity for graduating members of the LGBTQ+ community to attend a dance on their own terms. They could bring whoever they wanted, dress however they wanted to dress, and dance the night away!
Since then, Rainbow Graduation has grown. While it still includes a dance, it also serves as a special ceremony in addition to the campus-wide graduation ceremonies.
We encourage all members of the LGBTQ+ community attend the Rainbow Graduation. It's a great chance to bid your college days farewell and connect with your friends and classmates one last time before leaving.
Due to COVID-19, this year's ceremony will be virtual. We are inviting the Class of 2021, as well as the Class of 2020 whose own Rainbow Graduation was unfortunately cancelled last year. Please be sure to RSVP here: http://cglink.me/r1016461
