From Rochester, NY, Mandi Lynn Griffith holds a BFA in Dance with a Choreography specialty. Throughout her career she has trained and worked in many facets of the dance and theater world. After college she lived in New York City, studying improvisational theatre, then returned to Rochester to run her own dance studio, New York Academy of Dance, for twelve years. Since then she has been involved in the local theatre community as a choreographer, performer, and director for a wide range of organizations. Mandi Lynn has worked with Blackfriars Theatre, JCC CenterStage, OFC Creations, Webster Theatre Guild, Greece Performing Arts Society, Out of Pocket Productions, and Rochester Musical Theatre Academy. She is also active in the collegial community, choreographing for SUNY Geneseo, Monroe Community College, and Nazareth University, where she proudly teaches for the Musical Theatre Department. She is also excited to be a teaching artist and choreographer for the Rochester Broadway Theatre League and its Stars of Tomorrow program. In 2022 Mandi Lynn originated choreography for the world premiere of RISE: A New Rock Musical, at JCC SummerStage. Her work on Greece Arcadia’s last three productions, Addams Family, Pippin, and Into the Woods, contributed to Production of the Year honors. Her work on Cabaret, for Blackfriars Theatre, earned her a nominee for Best Choreography for Central New York in Broadway World.
