Description: Use a compound miter saw to cut lumber down to 54 blocks, all the same length. While this project uses a square cut, participants will be able to have a more in depth exploration of the functionality of the saw. Once all 54 blocks have been cut to length, each block will be sanded using either a hand held sander or a belt and disc sander. After a quick game, participants may choose to paint blocks if desired!

This project is intended to be completed in a group setting and once complete, the final Jenga set will become a feature at the PAC/ School of Performing Arts. No prior knowledge of tooling is required, all tools needed will be used under supervision of the instructor and after a training session has been completed (as part of the workshop). This is a hands- on activity! Come curious and excited to learn something new!

All participants must wear close toed and close heeled shoes. Avoid overly loose or baggy clothing and jewelry. Choose to wear comfortable but sturdy clothing that you do not mind getting a little messy or splattered with paint. Long and loose hair must be tied back. All personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
Food Provided (Coffee and donuts!)
